Our Competance
Our key person, Mr. Nikhil B. Joshi has a M.S. CHEE from University of Houston. He was with Schlumberger's fluids division for seven years working on hydrocarbon phase behavior and its measurement techniques. He was also involved with several projects conducting fluid testing to determine solids precipitation such as asphaltene, wax and hydate. He has been an advisor to several oil and gas companies to design a fluid sampling and analysis program. Subsequently, he has managed several fluid testing programs. Along with fluid testing, Nikhil has extensively used equation of state programs such as PVTSim, PVTi and PVTPro, amongst others to tune and predict phase behavior and fluid properties. He had also participated in the product development of new generation wireline testing methods related to fluid measurements such as oil-based mud contamination. Nikhil has also written several papers in technical journals such as SPE, Energy and Fuels on flow assurance testing to determine solids precipitation and mitigation strategies.
Nikhil has also been involved with multiphase measurements for more than three years. He has worked with vendors such as Schlumberger and Roxar on their multiphase and wet gas measurement systems to improve their performance and implementation in the Gulf of Mexico. He has understood and developed methods to obtain reliable independant data from the multiphase and wet gas devices. The performance of these devices as compared to the test separator have been improved to be within 5% for oil, gas and water flow rates. Such performance has been exemplary in the Gulf of Mexico.
In addition to the above projects, Nikhil has also conducted system analyses using simulators such as Schlumberger's Pipesim and Petroleum Expert's IPM. These tools were exploited to understand the well performance and conduct sensitivities. Nikhil has also participated in artificial lift evaluation and its impact on production performance. Artificial lift techniques included Gas Lift, Multiphase pumps and Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP). He has also conducted Nodal Analysis on several systems.
Nikhil has been working on topside fluid allocation processes for the past four years and has used process models such as HYSYS to simulate and complete fluid allocation. He has worked with both continuous as well as well testing type allocation processes and has used HYSYS to improve the process results. Using his background on phase behavior, he has been able to provide an educated and better product to his clients.
